O. Kalpaks Riga Folk Art Primary School

 

On September 1, 2014 a modern international tournament sports complex was opened in O.Kalpaks Riga Folk Art Primary School.

The sports hall has an area of 1230 m2. The hall is equipped with extensible grandstands with a room for 278 spectators.

In the complex there are rooms for coaches and 5 changing rooms with showers.

The basement has special changing rooms for people with disabilities and special needs built according to specifications. In the process of training the sports hall can be split in half with a wall which enables two groups to train without interfering each other.

Regular training and competitions in basketball, handball, floorball, badminton, frisbee, table tennis and volleyball take place in the sport hall.

The complex has a weight lifting room and two smaller gyms. One of these has three stationary table tennis tables.

The second is used for gymnastics. The sports complex is rented for different sports events, according to Riga City Council`s Education, Culture and Sports Department`s approved prices.
